nice wet snow , snow day , and its 11pm .. hhhmmm
so I call the ex wife and ask her if any of the kids are tired ? !! she says heck no !! well ok then , tell them to get dressed cause we are going sled riding ..lol school is closed , why not ?
so to the local hill we go where earlier today there had to be 100 people on the hill !! but not now as the temps are around 32 , a slight switch to rain , and an additional 6-8" fell since the sun went down !! a nice family snowball fight where the ex and I teamed up on the kids ( yeah we won ! high five } , followed by a thermos of hot chocolate , and some Roman noodles lead to a wonderful night !!

Thanked: 3795I'm always glad to know that some people can get along with their exes--especially when kids are involved. The exact opposite happened with my ex. Kids were nothing but ammunition for her.

ya know we have had and still have some heated discussions , and only a few times did she use the kids .. but that went only as far as " I can only see them on my scheduled days " and that last about a week ..lol.. we live less then a mile away so our kids come and go or stay where they want as long as we are not used as an from one of us cause they received punishment they didn't like , its odd but we both understand its a " cant live with , cant live without " situation that works for all of us .

Utopian,
I "liked" your comment not because I like it, but because I can relate. I mean, who would like the fact that an ex uses the kids as ammo? I know of some
guys who are divorced who have amicable relationships with their exes. Unfortunately that's foreign to me.

Thanked: 3795Quite foreign to me as well. Nearly 20 years later, I still feel like my life ended when I lost my kids.
