Thanked: 284Ruger Vaquero Beauty
Just got a hold of this little charmer. It's the Ruger Vaqero Deluxe edition. The engraving is laser, not hand, but it still looks decent. Seemed cheaper than getting the plain model and having it engraved.

Thanked: 284Yup it's basically a remake of the Colt Single Action Army, with a few differences. I think the Cowboy Action shooting thing creates a demand for a lot of these. This one is chambered in 45 Colt (aka 45 Long Colt). I just like the mechanics of it, general good looks and kind of a piece of history. Just picked it up so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
You can still get them from Colt but I think it takes a while and not cheap.I love living in the past...

Thanked: 284Thanks. This particular deluxe model was only chambered in 45 Colt, but yes several Ruger revolvers, including the Vaqero come in "convertibles" where you'll get two cylinders, one of them in 45 acp.
And I was like you, where revolvers weren't "tactical", but I'm coming to appreciate them more.I love living in the past...

That's a cool one you got. 45 is a great round.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
