Thanked: 4942Golf Anyone?
Spring is springing and it's getting green around here. Time to clean up the clubs and start getting out to the driving range and courses.
Are you guys getting ready? What clubs are you playing? Handicaps? Who is gonna win the Masters?
How bout some golf chatter?
I think I'm gonna stay with my Taylor Made Slider driver and Cameron putter this year. Maybe a new 56 degree wedge.
Any golfers out there?

The Masters usually hype me up for golf so we got a Tee time for this Saturday. I was rooting for Phil!
Playing:
Ping G10 irons 6-p (lost my 5 iron)
Ping G20 Driver
Cleveland wedges 60 & 56,
Ping G20 3 wood
Burner 5 wood
Burner 4 hybrid
Ping Scottsdale putter
Bridgestone E6
Still haven't broken 100 (playing for 3 years) but hope to get my score down this year by working on some things.
Usually when it's a bad hit it's because I hit the ball fat. I'm not transferring power from back leg to the front when this happens.
God, I love playing!Last edited by daverojo77; 04-12-2015 at 05:21 PM.

Thanked: 1936Most frustrating game/sport I have ever played.
I quit when my boss started forcing me to play in company sponsored tournaments. I do miss it at times, but just go fishing instead.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Love golfing.
Being the spring we have been having here in Kansas - I have been playing since Jan! WOOT. (Yes that was a dig Mike lol)
I got into golf back in the day in an effort to spend time with my dad who was recovering from cancer at the time. I hated the game lol, but there was no better way than going out to shoot a round to get time in with the old man. After a couple of years (I joke not - it took a while lol), I finally learned to like the game. Now it's all I can do to get out and shoot a round .
I am an average golfer at best (ok maybe better than average - but I only keep score when playing tournaments lol) - with average equipment. To be honest, I wouldn't have a clue what clubs I use without walking out to the car and having a look lol! My drivers are a hodge podge of things my neighbour and dad have given me. My irons I picked up at Dick's one fall sale.
But I use em at min once a week. My neighbour and I have a standing tee time Saturday's. My biggest claim to fame is that if I have 2 balls on any given round, I am good to go .
Golf is sanity for me. I get away from the family, work, and all things day-to-day. I can't get enough no matter how well or poor I play !David

I was really pulling for Mickelson even though Speith is a Texas boy...
Just picked up a new set of Taylor made rocketblades for my 39th birthday after a 20 year break. I stopped playing after high school when I found women and motorcycles. I have gotten in three rounds and am below 100 (use to shoot high 80's or low 90's) so I am excited to get spun back up.
I went and watched the tpc at san antonio....man those guys can spank the ball!!!
I have to agree earcutter...it is great quite time away from the craziness of the everyday grind.
P.S. As I type this reply my wife says we should have a gentlemen's weekend of golf and straight razor "gathering". She said that they are both "Gentlemen's" activities and we should plan a weekend around them. HMMM...That sounds like permission to me...Last edited by Txshooter38; 04-14-2015 at 01:57 AM.
