Thread: A Brave New World ! - Apps

Two months ago I got a Samsung Tablet for free. I switched from Dish Network to AT&T U verse (wish I had did it years ago). I just loaded photos of my shave collection on it & showed friends; other than that I didn't know how to use it.

I always used my cellphone to help me navigate areas that I did not know. Someone then told me I could use the tablet for this also. So for three days I studied how to "tether" my tablet to my cellphone,,,, now I have a nice big screen to see. I ran across the GOOGLE Play store on my tablets & started looking at apps, for two days I studied apps & picked some that I like.

I have a "compass" app that tell me which way is north & its actually pretty accurate.
I put "WebRoot" on my cell & tablet to keep out them crawler bots.
I have GOOGLE Translate,,, this is fun,,, I went to the Spanish section & turned on the GOOGLE Translate microphone & started with my basic knowledge of Spanish, I said, "Ka pasa" ,, you know "What's happening",,& it replied back something different ???? Then I said, "That's bullsh*t!" , forgot the microphone was on,, it said & wrote in the bottom section, "You want a Porsche?"

Oh well, I need practice with my accent.

I put in Officesuite 8,,, for documents

Now I'm thinking about adding a microscope app

If Jimbo could see me now, he'd be proud,,,,,

Well it was all 'Greek' to me and I've never ever said that I was 'Sane' or in any other 'Normal' frame of mind!

Oh,,,, I forgot to tell you I got the ShopSavy bar-code scanner for scanning price tags in the store. Reviewers said you can show the sales person that the competition has an item cheaper & sometimes they will match it.

The app also shows the current price of that item for all the retailers selling it in the area & online.
