    Opening weekend in MN......

One I try to avoid. I can fish any time of the year for one fish or another. Stay away from all the idiots at the landings this weekend!

Plus most of them left their wife's at home!

Lord, all those cobwebby motors and forgetting the plug! Not a brain present.
I used to just pull up a lawnchair and a cooler at the ramp and watch the fun. Esp those with obviously brand new boats!

Modern French tuna purse seiner using a power block. The helicopter is used to search for tuna schools.
Pretty sure this is where my can of tuna comes from.....

Small thumbnail of the old family fishing boat taken at Marina Hemingway in Havana prior to the post 9/11 "enhanced" enforcement of the Helms-Burton law. Unfortunately, she is no longer around, but it was fun while it lasted. 1989 65 foot custom Monterey cold molded wood sport fisherman. 1700 hp Bivens 16V-92's, 43 knots top speed.
