Good luck if your cat decides they're going out.
We recently job lost a cat due to old age - Inky, big black cat with malformed vocal cords who couldn't meow, he made a sound like a gasping, asthmatic Cobra. We have another two cats, one stays inside exclusively, and the other will venture out onto the deck, but as soon as the sky gets to big, he comes running, terrified back into the house.
Inky, well, we tried to keep him in when we got him, when I was shaving in my bathroom, he'd dash into my bathroom, leap onto the sink where I was shaving, straight razor in hand, and dash for my window. He was thwarted for about three weeks due to the screen.
The screen lost the battle.
Anytime the door would open he would dash. Eventually, we learned, if the cat is going outside, there is little to nothing humans can do about it.
If you want to protect the birds and other wildlife, solution is easy - simply put a little bell on their collars - takes away their Ninja stealth, ambush abilities.....Last edited by Phrank; 10-09-2016 at 02:54 PM.
