Favourite Ales and Whiskies
For me, nothing accompanies a good cigar more than a good Ale and/or a good Whisky.
What are your go to Ales and Whiskies? Maybe a chance to get some ideas of Breweries and Distillery's from state to state and around the world.
I like my hometown brewery, Samuel Smith. Their Nut Brown and Oatmeal Stout are always loaded up in the rack. Now the weathers getting better over here in NJ, i'll be getting something lighter than ale like a Belgian Trappist beer.
My Whiskey of choice is Bourbon. I've recently been drinking George T. Stagg out of the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
My budget easy to find workhorses are PBR and ol' number 7.Last edited by RiseAbove; 06-06-2016 at 05:01 AM.

Thanked: 36Personally I'm a scotch drinker. Bunnahabhain 12 year old goes very nicely with a pipe or cigar in my experience. Or a Nøgne Ø brown ale, but I'm not sure if anyone outside Norway will know that one.

Thanked: 30I always have Talisker 10 year in stock. Tasting it brings images of seafaring voyages. Drink it, and you'll understand.
As for Nebraska whiskey, nothing is better than Cut Spike. But describing the taste of this one is tough: the foreground bursts with orange cream soda mixed with an array of spices, while something that is neither bourbon nor scotch broods in the background. It's worth trying just because it has flavors that you'll never taste in another whiskey.

My 2 favorites. I always keep some at home.
