Since I asked everyone to help me pick my next travel mug and I received a lot of good suggestions and wanted to give you an update. As I mentioned above based on Dinnermint's girl friend recommendation I pick up a Contigo Autoseal West Loop SS 16 oz travel mug.
I've been using it for about a week now and have had many opportunities to use it for both hot and cold beverages. The first thing I'd say is that this design seems to be bullet proof. I mean it seals incredibly well without fail. Not a single dribble even after refilling (a time when sometimes liquid will creep out through the theaded area). All threads on this are on the inside of the bottle. It's easy to use, has lots of nose room when drinking & fits easily in auto cup holders. Liquid flow is strong without the need to create any suction. When done it seals instantly. Vigorous shaking shows no leaking af any kind. If you drop a few cubes of ice into it they will still be there 6 to 8 hours later and the liquid stays cold (not just cool) for at least 10 hours. Hot stays hot for at least 4 to 5 hours.
One suggestion. If your going to buy one make sure it's one with the Autoseal "easy clean" top. You can tell it's "easy clean" because it also has a locking button on the top. Without the lock it is the older version of the Autoseal top which is harder to clean.
Thanks SRP.
