Thanked: 13249LED/HID Offroad Lighting
Anyone else trying/tried out LED or HID Tractor / Offroad lighting ???
I just got in a 24" lightbar (16000 lm ) for the back of the Tractor to help when Clearing snow this coming winter..
I am simply replacing two of the old style Flood Lights
I really cant wait to see if there is a huge difference
Maybe I should take a pic tonight of the old lights shining on the Pole Barn wall before I switch them out..
Then take a pic of the same spot at the same time tomorrow night
Hmmmmmmm

A close friend is big into rally racing in Minnesota and another that likes to live in the middle of nowhere pennsyltuckey, both swear up and down about Hella (I'm pretty sure) flood lights. One reason, they come with covers so you don't have to clean bugs off to dirty them with mud an hour later. And "bright as the sun through a magnifying glass" was mentioned by one or the other.

Please do take before and aft pics, Glen. I could use an upgrade for my tractor for the same application, plowing snow.

Thanked: 13249These are the lights I am replacing, the lightbar should fit along the Straight back ridge of the Canopy
I found a curved lightbar that will fit the front also, but I want to see if there is a substantial improvement first before spending the money

Timely topic,,,,,
2 days ago I found myself & 4Runner in the woods after dark. No , I was not dumping a body.
I was trying to light the path for my son, who was dumping branches from a truck.
I pulled head-in & struggled to get out with my back-up lights.
Then one of the kids at the archery range has a set of LED boat ramp lights mounted to his truck. They are at Bass Pro & I will give a full review of them by Sunday.

Thanked: 4207I had the same problem backing up my Avalanche in the woods.
I opted for high output led replacement reverse light bulbs to avoid adding aftermarket lights on the back. They worked awesome except folks sometimes didn't like when I backed out in front of them at the arena or malls."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

After initially receiving LHD instead of RHD projectors, my retrofit kit is finally together. Guess I have my work cut out in the coming days.
