My wife happens to work with the owners neighbor so was able to learn about the woman, the car, and the ex husband, a local pharmacist. I did the legwork to find him, and that eventually got me here.. but I never would have gotten here without my wife having the inside scoop.
Yet another reminder, 32 years later that I met the right gal for me..

You definitely have a good and understanding wife. You are in for both frustration and satisfaction but keep after it.

Oh My! Never had that happen! Only found the 'grounds' on rigs that hadn't run for a couple of years.

It was 'interesting' back in about '69 when a friend and I overhauled a master cylinder to install in his '56 Ford. We took it for a test drive after a stop or two the brakes were locked up! We knocked on a friends door and called his dad. By the time Jack got there the brakes worked again. He told us what we'd missed.

DAMN! That little 'vent or compensating vent' hole was hard to see that it was plugged.

Tom may know something about this.....

Well, I have only been able to turn her over and get her to kick over with ether so far, but when she last was driven, two years ago, everything worked, I was told.
Plan this season is get er running, spend the summer learning the car and prepare for a next winter paint job.
This being hand built, coach style I could, in theory, completely remove the body and have everything individually painted over the winter while I detail the heck out of the engine and frame. Then come spring put her all back together, pretty much brand new.
Kind of liking that plan tbh..

I'm kind of liking that plan too!

That sounds like so much fun! I was joking about your being banned but razors are pretty boring compared to the work you get to do with your new toy. It's going to be much more satisfying to be the one to get that car running rather than simply buying one that already is good to go.

Not disagreeing with your plan and from what I have seen of your projects you will do a great job!

Has it been "restored" already? If so there is nothing that you will do that will change it in my mind.

Like my razors I would rather have an original with a little patina than a perfectly restored one.
