I have a cap exactly like that one. We call them "newsboy" caps. It is one of my favs, made by an artisan maker in Oregon. I also have a similar one in linen from another artisan maker in Poland for warm weather wear. I also have a fedora from Australia for dress up occasions, my summertime Panama of course, and an Australian style "outback" hat which is as close as I can reasonably get to a "cowboy" hat without looking a complete goof. I could never pull off an Open Road.

There's nothing in the world like the feeling you get putting on a new Cowboy hat or Cowboy Boots.

Thanked: 1184Can't get to my pictures at this time but I sport a Resistol when in my Tux. And another for working and riding. I have a nice straw Stetson for summer. Haven't been wearing them much since I moved to town.Funny thing is I started wearing 1 when I was younger in the very same town.
Small brim would be nice. My big dumb head might not look as good as yours under it though. Nice sky piece for sure.
Our town rodeo was a lot of fun. The kids roped goats and they had sheep bronc riding. All sorts of games. All the Ladies did was try to rope cowboys :<0)Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 1184Yep, took me 3 months to break in my last pair of Tony Lama's and as I remember a new hat can be hard on the forehead until it starts to shape to your skull. Heck it takes me 2 weeks to get the shape steamed in just right. ..... And then the guy wonders why he is picking his sorry butt off the ground when he was only reaching for my hat to try it on. Where do people get the idea they can just do that ?
