Thread: The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Aloha!

Every year in September, tens of thousands of distinguished gentlemen get together for the "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride".

This is a motorcycle rally, but with a purpose and a theme. It is organized to raise awareness and money for men's prostate cancer research. Riders that participate (register) can be sponsored with all the money going to prostate cancer research.

And here's the thing. It's all CLASSIC BIKES AND HIGH FASHION DRESS! You will NOT see choppers and sport bikes and leather. You will see suit and tie and pipes and cigars and CLASSIC bikes from the 50s-80s. I ride my classic 1982 Honda GL-500 Interstate. This ride is WORLDWIDE with hundreds of cities participating and tens of thousands of riders taking part. All for a VERY worthwhile cause.

You don't absolutely have to ride a classic bike, but that's the "spirit" of the ride. But dressing up like a gentleman is ESSENTIAL!
