Any Gentlemen Here Sport a Bow Tie? - The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is Calling!
Aloha!
All of my business career I have never worn a Bow Tie EXCEPT for formal occasions with a Tuxedo. But every year now in September I have participated in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, and every year, I sport a Bow Tie on the Bike.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a "Gentry" motorcycle ride for benefit of Men's Mental Health and Prostate Cancer Research. It takes place in hundreds of cities worldwide. It is a very worthwhile cause and raises millions for research of Prostate Cancer and to help with men's mental health. BTW, this venue is connected to the Movember Foundation.

This is a dress-up occasion where you don your finest clothes and ride your CLASSIC motorcycle with other gentlemen all for a very worthwhile cause. Neckties are not the greatest on a motorcycle, so most of us opt for Bow Ties instead of neck ties. In the past few years, I have had to learn to actually TIE a Bow Tie, because I refuse to use a clip on. A friend turned me on to aliexpress.com and you can get all the bow ties your heart desires for pennies on the dollar. It's just a 2 week wait while they ship from China. BTW, you can get a lot of inexpensive shaving gear from aliexpress.com too. I now have about 10 bow ties with matching pocket squares.
Does anyone here ever sport a bow tie? Just curious.
Mahalo!
