I LOVE dark roast coffee. My wife hates it so I have to make my own in a French press while hers is dribbling in the pot of our coffee maker.

I discovered that adding some ground cardamom to the coffe grounds really enhances the flavour (notice the Canadian spelling).

I'll sometimes add a cardamom pod or two to mine when using a French press, and that's really the only thing I ever add to coffee. A naturopath friend once recommended that to me as it is meant to counteract some of the negative effects of caffeine on the body. I tried it mostly to humour him, but found it tasted great. Pretty sure that's the only bit of his advice that ever stuck with me.

Also, dark roast from a bodum beats medium roast from a drip machine any day, so I'd call that a win-win!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
