We finally got some warm temps and sunshine. Most days have been overcast.
The garden started to come alive with the weather finally cooperating.

A few tomatoes have fruit. Overall, I am really worried about running out of summer before all the veggies are ready. The late, late spring may have been a garden killer.

The first harvest and a new Bruno kitchen knife.

Garlic's Music and legacy. The ones on the right did not do so well this year as far as size wise and wanted to bolt on me at the end. Weird weather this year.
These two are hardnecks, the one on the left is not a elephant garlic which is not a real garlic, elephant garlic is more closely related to leeks.

    Nice looking green beans :

Years ago my father and his buddy would see who got what they had planted producing first/they lived on opposite sides of the county but that didn't seem to matter to dad and 'Herbie'.

Well green beans in both gardens were far from producing but my store had green beans on sale that were coming out of California and dad called and asked how they looked. I told him that they looked like we'd just harvested them for Green Giant back in the day and that I'd brought some home and they were great.

MY DAD HAD MY MOTHER DRIVE FROM DAYTON TO WALLA WALLA, BUY GREEN BEANS PUT THEM IN A PAPER BAG FROM THE LOCAL LITTLE STORE AND TAKE THEM TO HERBIE WITH ORDERS TO TELL HIM THAT THEY HAD COME OUT OF DAD'S GARDEN.

Once Herbie saw the beans he drove all the way to dad's to see these bean plants that were putting out the beans.

When Herbie arrived my dad just laughed and laughed! Dad always did love to pull somebody's chain.

If you'd like any seed, I have plenty.
