And now,, into this

Think I’m going to shave an additional 50 lbs of redundant copper out of the curb weight with this little purge as well.
And I’ve now got the last couple needed dash items so can move on to real wiring.

Love how minimalist this array is..

Love the voltmeter. Old Ammeters were power-robbers.
Some Smith's voltmeters are usually on the bay.
Ya, seems the previous owner really made a mess. Draw the new wiring out and save it.
This stuff is my forte. Wish I could come over and help......
Lucas makes a great round performance coil which works great with MSD. Mine is 12 years or so blasting away.
Lemme see
I don't mind spending YOUR money, Mike! :D
Tom I wish you lived closer many times. Knowing this stuff is in your wheel house just reaffirms that notion.
Going to sketch out the layout this weekend and maybe start pulling wires by Sunday.
I think I have the Lucas sport coil on her judging by the colour so might be good there too.

I don't see a speedometer in your array, do you have one?
Yes, the speedo and tach are separate individual units, and they will mount beside this in the wood, once it’s sealed up in those two larger circular cut outs.
Wood dash is being sealed with ‘total boat’ marine spar varnish today. Went with marine grade for its UV inhibitors most hardware grades do not have.
Two coats of gloss laid down last night.
I will follow with the satin today as I don’t want a glossy, shiny, reflective dash, want a slick sheen in front of me.

Really pleased with this mahogany’s chatoyance. Should fit the look quite well.

My window guy worked quickly and cut me a new windshield. Will hold onto the other as a template for me as well.

Precious melted sand,, worked out to about a hun/sq ft. And uv protection as well.
Three coats of marine spar on, as well as a 400 grit light sanding between coats, and the dash is almost ready to build. Two more coats today and that’ll be it.

Good progress on multiple aspects of the rebuild.

Outstanding! Almost there!
That wood looks great.
This rebuild as been such a lot of hard word work.
I'm vicariously exhausted.
