I would not wish it on anyone, Mike. The wind continued for hours after the rain stopped.
Last month's 'Dericho' was the hardest blow I have experienced, but for a short duration and from one direction.
This one hung around for a while. At least we did not flood. Almost, though!
Anyhoo, the old gal ran herself out of gas sometime during the night without a hitch. Sweet!

Hate that for you Tom but glad you made it through.

Off topic, but I thought you fellas might like this....
I got a gig as the escape car at a wedding reception held at a swanky country club last night.
Down the hill with fireworks and to a limousine they went. Paid a thousand bucks, so not working for a week it surely came in handy.
Lotsa fun too! These are my daughter's cell phone pics. A team of 7 pro photogs were on it, so I cannot wait to see theirs....
Oh! Power back on to-nite! :y

Is that your Sunbeam Tom?

Very cool Tom.
Looks damn good. Like the fireworks.
Easy grand if her dress didn’t scratch your finish!
I’ve got Noddy rebuilt and back on the road again.
Nice and quiet so far valve wise.
Test drives this week.
Cheers.

Cool, Mike. I shudder to think how close that came to ruining all that work!
Knowing when to shut it down.....Priceless!

You know it! Got real lucky cause I was convincing myself to just ride it out till fall. And no way that woulda worked.
2 weeks to turn around a cylinder head in car, not too bad either so hopefully,, summer saved!
Got scared I f—ked up the retorque cause I had milky oil first run, but it must have been residual from when the head was off cause today it’s cleared, like the water is venting off slowly?
Will still do another fresh oil change after the first 1000 km’s. And I’m using V1 $$ racing oil cause it’s the last oil I can find for flat tappet engines.
Will take a vid and post it up so you can hear the improved running of her.
Must admit, I’m loving how much more pep she has, and even in 5th. I didn’t expect that but even though I’ve been keeping her under 4000 rpms so far, really nice pull in 5th.
Wish the speedo was accurate, but that’ll be another project. Tach is, so that’s al that really matters.

Is that an excuse with the Mounties up there?

I always run a few Bars Leaks tabs on the old cars, whether I think it needs it or not. Internal tiny leaks happen in them.
