Thanked: 4206The extension is going to really be the driver this season Tom.
My neighbors have been cool, so far. The one has just had a second floor addition added so can’t throw stones from a neighborhood impact perspective with all the construction noise. But that’s almost done now and I ain’t.
But really, the shelter wouldn’t survive two winters as built so I must get to the paint completion stage. As soon as the paints on, I can tear down the shelter and complete the car in the original garage space.
Wiring, panels and upholstery all later..
Taking half a week next week to continue on the preprime steps.Last edited by MikeB52; 06-26-2021 at 05:26 PM.

But to defend my work, I don’t think it’s toooooo obnoxious in its size. I did try to blend, even chose a white tarpaulin as coverage.

I have a customer with 2 old cars and he added a greenhouse addition out the back of the garage. Pretty cool, he can put 4 cars in there.
Perhaps someday you might do something of the sort.

Thanked: 4826It’s a nice looking neighbourhood. I bet some of the people can be real uptight. I think it is best policy to always be the best neighbour that is sensible.

Thanked: 4206Amen Shaun. And yes, some folks are quite tightly wound and house proud around here. Off work for a year and a half, with pay, and have impeccable properties,, and then there’s me.. I’m holding on, but have lots afoot, including a job that demands my appearance,, lol..
Blue collar dude on a white collar street.. but I do love our property and don’t plan on moving any time soon..
When we do however,, I need to find a bungalow, with a barn or proper outbuilding, and out in the country moreLast edited by MikeB52; 06-26-2021 at 09:32 PM.

You and me both brother. Growing up I had a open carport with a shop attachment that my dad used for his sharpening business for a while. It was great for working on vehicles. I miss it. Now I live in the suburbs and I hate it. I spent most of my life living in the country, my family owned over 100 acres when I was a kid so, yeah, I'm not used to this kind of thing. If you can't take a leak in the front yard you're too close to civilization as far as I'm concerned. Hell, I want to live where I can shoot deer in my front yard.

Ive always been a city boy and always will. You guys can have the dirt and dust of the country. Now a larger lot is a bonus for stuff. But at some point too much stuff just gets in the way and holds ya down. JMO.
It's just Sharpening, right?
