Tom beat me to it again. I was going to mention a drop-down in that linkage to give ya more throw and leverage.
It's looking good Mike. All the little details just take longer. You will get it running in no time. It's just Sharpening, right?

I mentioned an old tire iron as they are 'hockey-stick' shaped.
Lean and mean and some thick flat bar will weld-on stiff....
I suppose not to overdo it? Any bushings going-on?

Thanked: 4207Wasnt enough meat for bushings as the holes are 1/4” and the shaft 7/16. I did use washers and solid shank bolts to provide some strength, and less surface friction.
Hockey stick shaped,,, funny..

Thanked: 4207Thanks guys. I like the lighter color on the floor, phew. Wasn’t sure it’d work but it does.
After the door locks are working it’ll be time to work on the fuel tank and tire carrier. Once those are plumbed and tight, time to go over everything one last time before I consider maybe firing her up.
The final steps will be the fenders and engine cowls. Which really shouldn’t be much challenge, all things considered.
I figure I’m going to move ahead with my shifter as is, see if it’s stiff, to stiff, or just right as she sits. Can always tweak that part of the design later. Need to soldier on and get er done. Do appreciate the suggestions regardless of the final design.
Getting real close.
