Default What did you buy SWMBO for Christmas?

I know this will seem odd, but I bought my dear wife a retractable awning for the deck on our new house.

I know she will love it as she spends a lot of time outdoors.

What did you guys get your SWMBO?

She picked out some nice pajamas for me to buy for her, and not being able to wait 'till Christmas because she was cold they've already been opened. Now i'm trying to find something to surprise her with. I've got plenty of time right?

We are not exchanging gifts this year.
I did however recently buy her a bracelet from an Etsy shop called About Tine. It’s not a typo. The guy takes vintage cutlery and makes jewelry. If you are curious go look. It’s not for everyone. I love it and fortunately so did my wife, which is handy because the piece I bought her was a pricey gift for us. I know some spend really big bucks, but 500 is about the top for us, maybe even over the top. Most of our gift exchanges are closer to $100. I will likely give her some spa money when she leaves for a trip to Mexico.

We don't exchange gifts either. She buys what she wants and so do I.

I may come up with a small gift though. 5 maybe $10 limit.

When I was married, I'd shop for something that I thought the SWMBO would like.

However after a few years I found that what I'd 'thought' she'd like was the wrong color, the wrong style the wrong type etc. So I just told her to buy what she wanted.

Now according to my father, my mother gave him the same thing every year-- "A pair of socks and a piece of tail, and they were both too big".

Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

We were in Nanaimo BC and she could not get warm from the chill moist air, so apparently I bought her a few warm sweaters as seasonal gifts. Good thing I was able to find sweaters she really liked even though I wasn’t’ anywhere near the stores.

    A $100.00 gift card.

She gets to pick out what she wants, it fits and is the right color.
The furthest I have to go into the store is the cash register.

Win - Win for both of us.
