We freeze a lot of stuff even tomatoes which are great for chili. Out freezer in the fridge is just not large enough.

Thanked: 113I'd like to make two raised beds for the veggie and fruit garden this year. That's the goal, we will see what happens.

My buddy had a whole bunch of smart pots, so some things went into the ground, some in the pots, and some in raised beds. Everything in the beds went really well.
The hoop-houses were in a high wind area, and it was incredible how well those do in heavy weather!
I ended up building fences in various places as wind blocks, and that was a big help creating a better environment.
Super easy to build. The plastic on the market these days is much better, lets in a full spectrum, better veggies!“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

Thanked: 113Thanks Mike that's really encouraging.
I like the idea of a raised bed and a hoop house.
Glen take a look what this guy did, I might have to copy his project, it seems really straightforward.
Hinged option seems like a winner.

Sometimes all you can do is smile
I tried to go dump some wood ash egg shells and other compost into the garden the other day,, I can't even get to it the snow is so deep, 5 new inches this morning and still dropping
In the last 30 days we have had over 5 feet at the ranch, I swear if the Shan says "It's sooooo Pretty" one more time"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
