I try and time it with the storms, we got 7 inches today so it should have buried it but it almost buried me hehehe

I was more thinking of it washing away in the water of the snow melt.

Just started my seeds indoors here. Tons of tomatoes and peppers. Gonna try for pop corn and watermelon this year too.

This last winter was a bit hard on my little strawberry patch. I've had it for 3 or 4 years and they've never had this much browning.

I used my yard rake to clean it up--kinda worries me but there's nothing else to do but wait and see. I'll be sprinkling steer manure on them as soon as it's out in the stores. It's 54 F right now and is supposed to get up to 60

Roy don’t you have any ranches around there? They usually have a manure pile working you can get free compost

Oh yea! In fact a gal I used to work with raises horses and I could get all the 'Horse-St' that I would need. However with my little patch and one small container it's not worth going out to get it.

If memory serves--I pay more per gallon of Non Ethanol Medium Grade fuel for my Harley than I do per bag of the 'Horse-St'.

Back in the day after the garden was done dad would take me out to the 'Ranch' and we'd shovel his pickup full of 'Horse/Cow-St' and then spread it on the garden area. We would also go to a place that used to be a sawmill and shovel his pickup full of really old sawdust and spread it on the garden then in the spring he'd till it all in.

Dad always had a good garden!
