Just cut the first asparagus out of the garden, blueberries are blooming, lettuce broke the ground and the cabbage is putting on a show. Tomatoes plant is looking good also.

    Haven't even broke ground, yet.

Tornado came thru yesterday afternoon, snow and rain this morning.

    Default Earliest start yet

Got the garden turned and ready to try some new ideas.

This is the very first time in 5 years where I had to skip a row of tilling because we have live plants growing Woohoooo the Garlic my neighbor gave me to plant last year is coming up

First of the Low Hoop Tunnels is built, going to try them this year and see if we can't do better

We are at least 2 weeks ahead of the earliest we have ever started before

Still have more work to do, gotta add the Manure/Compost mix to the tunnels, and then figure out how to make the ends so they work for me

Bloody hell - tornado already? I thought they were more of a late spring into fall kind of thing. One of those things us folks up north are pretty unaware of.

We still have some snow and ice in the yard, but it's disappearing quickly at long last. Having said that, we'll likely get another dump or two before all is said and done. We haven't even planned the garden yet!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I had a great learning day today and planted 7 small logs of Shiitake mushrooms today.

    Lets see how this works!

Although I could be wrong I think that it was Red. Picked a tree that was over the road and would have tipped over sooner or later any way. The minimum maintenance road is still technically closed so a good time to drop it on the road.....

    Acrobatics for an old fart.

Got that cast iron seasoning mixture melted into a flat piece also today to shortly send it on your way!

The ice cube trays are a good way to mold it but they wouldn't economically mail worth a darn.
