My eldest son just informed that he should be called Baron Von Yentl Rosenfeld. Does have a more regal ring to it.

I had a Sneaky Suspicion that I was pretty close--

Many a year ago I had my 80 pit bull at the vet just for a check up and the vet complimented me on how well behaved my dog was and I told him that with the 'rep' that they had he had to be well trained.

The vet then told me that they had a pregnant female pit that had been dropped off as the owners were moving and the new place wouldn't allow the dog as they were 'vicious'. He said that the dog had been there for three days and that the next day she would be put down.

I took my male home, consulted with the wife and she said "We have to" so back I went to get her.

When I brought her into our home my male immediately tried to mount her and she tore into him. As she walked away he watched her and then turned and looked at me as to say "What the hell was that".

They developed an 'Understanding' and one of those was that he didn't try to eat from the same food dish as she would 'tear into him'.

I'd brought home a large cardboard box for her to sleep in and have the puppies in. The day the puppies were born my male started toward them and she tore into him once again!

He ended up laying in a doorway just watching, then ever so slowly he inched toward the box with the puppies. It took him days before he was just inches away from them.

I can't find the pic but I did take one of him In The Box licking those puppies.

    Damn I miss those dogs!

My Mother-in-law's old cat finally went a few years ago right after her husband's passing.
My middle daughter took her to a shelter and they adopted Bart for her.

The Baron reminds me of Bart. Damn cat will love you to death!

I think he is working up to that. He's pretty laid back until he thinks it's dinner time and then he starts a series of "I'm in a panic" meows like there was something bad coming. He wanted dinner. He wanted dinner NOW!

It seems funny how some cat owners created a monster and just abandoned it!
Only for us to adopt it!

    Be firm!
