Thanked: 8Exploring
Was back up north last weekend and got a chance to do some exploring in the Chequamegon National forest. Discovered a new lake along one of my running routes, must of ran by there a few times without even knowing it was 50 or 60 yards away. Being up higher helps to see more. The nice thing about my truck is that I don't worry about a taking down narrow roads, a few scratches from tree branches don't bother me. With the knobby tires and 4WD it does really well on the forest roads.

Very cool-I love doing that kind of stuff in my 4WD Tacoma, mainly exploring forest service roads in the mountains looking for trout streams. I've come up on some amazing wildlife over the years on those explorations, too.
There are many roads to sharp.

Thanked: 2209I know the area. My uncle had a deer hunting shack on Ole Lake Rd just SW of Cable, Wisc.
That road goes a long way back into the forest.
Beautiful area.Last edited by randydance062449; 11-10-2019 at 12:37 AM.
