A few months ago I traded a 2019 Audi Q5.
Very quirky sorr of vehicle.
No dipstick...check the oil inside with the computer.
Plastic oil pan...pump the oil out from an access hole on top of the motor.
My first vehicle ever, and hopefully the last without a dipstick.
Never thought of checking for this when I bought it.

Jerry you make a living in the oil and gas sector, I never once worried about gas mileage or how much gas cost, it’s our living, not to mention everyone who gripes about the price of gas r mileage, when gas is up so is the economy, so if everyone goes electric, your out of a job

I know someone with a Chevy Volt electric car, she loves it and uses it all summer but she puts it away and uses her Jeep Cherokee for the winter.
She says that electric is lovely in the summer but doesn't like the cold much.- - Steve

Thanked: 49Topside oil change is pretty common these days. The professional mower shops around here don't open drainplugs anymore. No mess. Harbor freight has a manual one for about $50. Works great btw. Any slight residue will theoretically get caught in the filter. Replace what you remove and you should be fine. I prefer old school though. Grease able zerks will last much longer than sealed ones. Unless you don't maintain them.

I agree 100% TC. I too never pay attention to fuel prices. Just when I slow down at work. I dont see an electric car in my future but the wife thinks so.
As far as oil changes from the top...
I cant see getting out the old sludge from the cranck case by sucking it out. Splashingnew oil on top of the sludge is what I think when you dont drop a pan or drain from the bottom.
Now sell me that old car Mike. I know its got a dip stick. It's just Sharpening, right?
