I went to a restaurant like the one you describe but in NYC called WD-50. The NY Times just gave it 3 stars this week. The chef experiments with science. I remember having fried Hollandaise sauce, smoked chocolate, Guiness Stout foam, Orange "dirt" and beet jelly beans. It was fun, if anything.

Toasted english muffin topped with: peanut butter, bacon bits, and mustard.
One of the three things that give me heart burn but it's good.
Another thing is reese's pieces in pancakes and peanut butter and ketchup on top of pancakes. I'm sure I'll be adding to this list in the future.

Bananas and sharp cheddar cheese go well together for me...I also like Scotch and Chocolate together. I am really glad to see this appears quite normal next to some of the combos listed here!

Alright Doc's wife, I went to a restaurant yesterday with my family, and lo and behold, they had a hamburger topped with peanut butter and bacon! I had to order it and I must say that it wasn't bad! Not so good that I would order it regularly, but if placed in front of me I wouldn't turn it down!
Of course now I definitely have to try an open faced p.b.&b.!

When I was a kid I used to like salt sandwiches - no butter, plain white bread, put salt on the top, and you're off!

And this might not mean much to anyone except Australians, but I love Vegemite on Weet-Bix.

That's really cool! I've never heard of a restaurant that serves that. Definitely try the P.B. & B it's great. I'll have to try it with a hamburger, sounds interesting.

+1 for french fries and Wendy's frosty. Wife and kids think I'm nuts, but I've heard of worse combinations.

I knew Vegemite would make it into this thread sooner or later. But on weet-bix. I hope you add some of the salt from your sandwich that might make it a little more palatable.

Well, when you absolutely want to feel those arteries clogging ...

    sandwich made with:
    • white bread, preferable one slice the end crust
    • cold leftover chile (American style... hamburger, tomatoes, kidney beans, etc.)
    • mayo
    • thin slice of onion
    • French's french fried onions
    Preferably eaten for breakfast
