Thanked: 4Most manliest (stupid) drink seen consumed in a bar: Hellshot (in a shot glass: 1oz Everclear & 1/2oz Dave's Insanity sauce). Either one on it's own is gonna burn like heck, but both together...OlY!!

I think the bulk of the most manliest drinks could be summed up with:
(Insert favorite spirit) in a galss.

Thanked: 0Back in my more youthful days, that was the beginning of the progression:
Three Wisemen: Jagermeister, Rumplemintz, Goldschlager
Four Horsemen: Jagermeister, Rumplemintz, Goldschlager, Bacardi 151
Five-Star General: Jagermeister, Rumplementz, Goldschlager, Bacardi 151, Jose Cuervo
I often wonder how I survived college in one piece...

If it is not straight up or on the rocks, how can a drink be manly?

although I will occasionally try a mixed drink, there are only 2 alcoholic beverages I know i like, 1 Bushmills on the rocks, or a good cognac in a large glass.

i was going to discard it as BS until i reached No.1 at the end - now that's been my favorite ever since i started drinking cocktails.
and yes the author seems fresh out of high school.
man i've got no vermouth or jin in da house - just bitters and cherries - talk about luck. actually on friday night i shouldn't be here to start with, so i guess it's just the punishment.
this situation should be rectified as early as possible tomorrow...
otoh, there's still about an hour left to get a drink at a bar... hmmm

The good old, old fashioned. Rye whisky, a little simple syrup or sugar, a dash or two of bitters and a splash of soda water. The brandy old fashioned is pretty good as well.

I didn't see boilermakers on the list. God that was nasty stuff! My first and last one was directly out of boot camp!

Thanked: 0If you like an old-fashioned, take a look at this:

I've made one myself, and they're quite good.
