Great Eastern Cutlery, Tidioute model#73 & #53
As some of you know, I am an avid collector of pocket knives! I found the opportunity to buy a couple of knives from the Great Eastern Cutlery Co. for half of what they go for at retail, and all that I have heard about this new cutlery company, that uses a very old name, was positive! So, I thought, what the hey, I'll check it out! Well, my knives arrived over the weekend, and I couldn't be more impressed! The fit and finish is that of a knife that generally goes for three times the list price of these knives! In fact, I am so happy with these knives, they have replaced my regular everyday carriers!
The trapper has two blades and is 3 3/4's closed, 1095 frozen forged steel, and the handle material is canvas/micarta? material!
The Stockman has three blades and is 4 1/4 closed! All specs are the same except the handle material is a brown bone!
The Stockman is 120 usd list and the Trapper, well, I don't know the list price, but I have seen it go for more than 80 usd!
