Thanked: 3In the military, they use garters to make their class A uniform shirts look nice and stiff instead of starching them. There are 4 garters (2 in front, 2 in back) that goes from the shirt to the socks. Not quite what your wife may be looking for, but it works for us. I use them in all of my formalwear tuxedoes and suits alike.

My only contribution is that corsets are fantastically sexy apparel. Fantasticly... Leather, hummmm. I like the ones that look like the 1840s-90s in the old west. Cotton and lace, maybe a ribbon or two and a little dusty and worn looking and certainly overflowing at the top.

Thanked: 11I think he meant that his wife likes the easy access that a kilt provides. On that topic I was wearing my utilikilt the other night round to a friends for a dinner party ... When I turned up one 5 year old girl whispered to her dad behind her hand "why is he wearing a skirt?" - It was the lack of a tartan that confused her, her dad and brothers often wear kilts.

Of course, some corsets have an "emergency exit" at the front. Both Silver's leather ones do. Then again, after you've untied the knot, getting the lady out of the corset can only add to the fun...
Kilts are incredibly easy access as well as being very comfortable. Mine's not tartan either but a Welsh flag, which is always worn on international day.
