I got mine for my 21st birthday. Its the family clan tartan (Ogilvie). I wore it for my wedding, for my best friends wedding (when I was best man), for two other weddings recently and I have another wedding in August to go to. Aside from that i've worn it for alot of ceilidhs (spell that right now folks) and it is ALWAYS a big hit with the ladies. Apparently they are super sexy and if it takes a few insecure neds asking if i'm gay to get that kinda attention from the ladies then game on! :tu
well as I said in the corset thread I have made it a bit of a collection thing, now I have six of the buggers...lol.

the utilikilt is what Im wearing in some shots at the recent gathering and you will also see me in my denim one in some.
As regards sexy....well across here in the USA it seems to be just that with the women...of course having an accent to back it up always is a winner... and as me good mate sicboater said...when asked what your wearing under it...his responses were spot on and extremely original I think...you vary it with company..but as an ice-breaker, it works wonders.the kilts are here

I wear kilts exclusively unless I'm riding my scooter - the aerodynamics of kilts and scooters just don't mix.
I've got four kilts from Utilikilts of Seattle - one Original, one Survival, and two Mockers. I started wearing them as a joke to get the goat of a bride whose wedding I was going to be in, but since then I've decided that there's really no good reason to wear pants. Kilts are more comfortable, they're very practical, and they tend to be conversation starters (although the more comfortable I've gotten in my kilts, the less people seem to ask me about them.)
You definitely get questions about them, and they're definitely sexy. A few months back, some friends and I went to a local biker hangout to shoot pictures of the motorcycles. While we were doing that, one big, burly guy in a Harley leather vest gave me the mal ojo and asked what the hell I was wearing. Before I could deliver any of my pre-selected witty comebacks, his girlfriend said "It's a kilt! I think it's real sexy." And that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the conversation.
My girlfriend, the esteemed LilithParker, gets very depressed if I wear pants now.
Wearing kilts definitely makes you more considerate of what women go through on a daily basis - you will not look at a ladder, catwalk, or floating stairs the same again. And you discover that sitting on a bench or a seat in what is basically a wrap skirt is not as intuitive as you might at first think. It takes a little manuvering to pull it off withouth exposing more than might be considered appropriate and still cover your butt.
I even managed to convince my uncle that kilts were a good idea - there's a picture of us both here. (I'm the one on the left.)
