I'm willing to bet the postal company dont insist the female postal workers wear skirts. I bet they have a trouser option.... :w
Am ex Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, so the old regimental kilt for me or my family one which is MacNaughton (Argyllshire)
Ye Gods! First the papers. Now this. It could be seen as a shameless self-promotion. Thing is I was not aware of this one being filmed.:D About 16 minutes in, here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00d18bm/b00d16jw/
Before you ask, the young lady is Silver :w
Methinks this is what has happened. The BBC is our public service broadcaster here & they will not let the stuff that is free for us be free for everyone. I have emaied them to see if I can get a copy of the clip. When that happens, I will post it here too!:D
I wear a Utilikilt, actually I've got the Tan Survival model on right now. I have two of them in total. The Slade Green and the Tan. I'd like to get the black one for Christmas. They are definitely the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. You do get some strange looks from yoounger people, but most of all I have gotten compliments on them. Most people will ask what you have under the kilt, and I usually say the floor, shoes and socks. Most get it, some don't. Wearing it sans underwear, aka, regimental, takes a little practice, but it isn't like the kilt is a lightweight piece of fabric. The kilts do look really nice, and fit well. Once you're used to wearing it, it isn't really that much different than a pair of baggy shorts, except the kilt is far more comfortable.
My only real complaint is that they are so damned expensive. Since I have an unsulin pump, and keep the pump in a pocket, I am more comfortable in the Survival model.....which is quite pricey. But hey, it is comfortable, and it shows off my manly legs.:D
+1 I only have one Utilikilt and have only had it for a few weeks, but it's by far the most comfortable garment I own! (I still have to own up and wear it in a "major" public situation yet, I'm just wearing it at home and for walking the dogs... :ashamed) Going to Scotland next week and will look out for something there too...
