Right now sitting on my porch w/ laptop smoking a Oliva "O" maduro Churchill. Nice light grey ash, and very tastey. These Olivas are very good for the money, and I prefer the cheaper "O" and "G" series over the higher priced and much touted "V"s.

Again sitting on the porch, smoking Prince Albert in a Missouri Pride cob.
Maybe not so fine; but a good back to basics smoke.

A great smoking day yesterday at Riegel's Pipe & Tobacco Covington Plaza store; joined by Joe Cardone and Larry Rathburn. All C & D mixtures today. First Odessa in an Ehrlich meerschaum bulldog, and as it SMELLS like the old white tinned Balkan Sobranie, it wasn't quite there in the flavor dept. Good in its own right but not the B. S. of memory. Joe gave me a tin of it, though, so some day I'll smoke more of it. There are over 50 tins now in my Rubbermade bin tobacco cellar, so it may be a few years till I get to it. Then some 9 yr old Black Duck in a Custom-Bilt squashed tomato. MAN was THAT nice! Then Purple Cow, a great change-of-pace mix w/ cigar leaf, in a no-name billiard from Howard Schulte. Finally Organic Pipe Dreams in the Ehrlich meerschaum bulldog that I started the day with. It was rather dry (which I usually prefer) but I didn't care for this one at all; to me rather harsh and not enough flavor. Give me the non-organic tobaccos any day!
