Hirlau: Congrats to your son on his "Robin Hood" shot.

Id love to get a Green Hoyt, I have a 20+ year old Browning Compound pretty bow(royal blue in color, not for hunting) but if given the option I'd always prefer a recurve. That is where I believe the true skill comes in, no weights, counter balance, sites etc etc, yada yada. Something very theraputic about archery. I guess very similar to running the steel over all the different stones till you achieve a perfect edge. Or my feel about Golf, nobody to blame but yourself, or in the case of golf MYSELF. Though its fun to blame the overpriced ball, club, bag, grass, wind, cigar, and so on(never the drinks thought, its never their fault)
    Respectfully,

Here is how I spent my weekend.

This was the larger of two rooms. If I remember right there was 71 bales total. 4 archers each that is a lot of shooters.

I shot good but of course not as good as I wanted! No trophy for me this weekend.

Last week ended our winter season and my Wednesday team got first place for league play. My Thursday team not so good.

20 yards. The far targets in the picture are for the "Cubs" and are 10.

Good eye. Yes, I am a lefty. I was lucky and picked up the bow slightly used at a archery shop north of Seattle many years ago.
