Haven't goten a white tail in 4 years it dosent help that i get back to mn with one week left of archery season in dec. But i love it anyway. My younger sister(15) set a state record in a target compitition last year and is on her way to a state championship this year.

    thats pretty cool...

i shoot a league for fun just to keep sharp for season...shoot various 3d targets...really helps me when i see the real thing at 30 yards to be confidant i can hit it.

I bowhunt in Virginia: both Northern Virginia when visiting my mother, and here in Blacksburg where i live (Southwest). Both are for whitetail, and I'm thinking of getting the components to convert my bow to a bowfishing bow, and then buying a new Hoyt Katana. I shoot my bow about twice a week shooting at a 3-D deer target, and try to hunt one of the days on the weekend. No deer this season but i have had to work alot on the weekends. I also still have till March 28th.

My current bow is a Mountaineer Archery 3D bow. I originally had it for target shooting but i have gone onto deer hunting. Here is my baby. And no one make fun of my small cams. But hey, I don't need to compensate for anything.

    YEP!

I put the "training wheels" down this year.

So I used to shoot a Mathews Feathermax for the better part of a decade, then a Martin Bengal, and now a 68" longbow.

Love it, Love it, Love it. Even if this means 20 yards is my absolute max again.

Never got a good buck with bow.
