Ah man. That just breaks my heart for you. That is the one really bad part of having dogs. Unless you are really old and they are really young you can bet you'll out live them. Plus it is so great when you have one you really love but the other side of that is that when they go the pain is so much greater also.
My condolences.

Man. It has been going around. I got this text from my brother today about my neice in Hawaii.
Sarah is devastated. Her dog Jake died yesterday from lung cancer. He died in her arms. He was her best friend for 12 years. She is so's upset that she can hardly talk.

It makes no difference whether it's a person you loved or a beloved pet, the pain is indescribable.
Please give my condolences to your niece Paul and let her know that we are all thinking of her.

Yes, it tough, very tough. My Husky passed suddenly just about a year ago and every time I look at her picture on the wall it still saddens me.
I feel for you.

It has been a while since I have caught up on this thread. Just wanted to pass on my condolences to all of you whose families have suffered losses or who are dealing with their pets' illnesses. It is such a rough thing to go through, but it's a price we pay to have these great presences in our lives. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my old guy Tobi, and it has been over a year since we said goodbye to him. I have finally arrived at the point where thinking of him brings more smiles than grief. I hope you all get to the point soon.

I bought some booties for our pup, so we don't have to worry about hot pavement and and stickers. I wish I would have got them earlier. A bit of training involved, but well worth the effort. Attachment 342409
