I just agreed that the house dog would be moving to across town with one of my roommates next year (she doesnt actually live here but her boyfriend does). So I've begun looking for a new dog breed.

If you are someone who has time for your dog,and can give it plenty of exercise, and be the boss, may I suggest a Doberman Pincher? I have been around this planet for 57 years and have always had one in my life, along with many others, but they are my personal favorites and will never be without one,Loyal to a fault, smart fearless, and because of unfounded fears, nobody who is'nt invited will ever come into your house. Many dogs fit this decription, butin my experance they are the Supercars of dogs, although I might be a little predjused (sic)

I would love a doberman but I fear that with the very active nature of the breed and the nature of working my way through college I may not be able to give it the amount of exercise and attention that it deserves. I'm looking at a couple of bigger breeds that tend to be more of couch potatoes.

I have a cute female Dalmatian that we rescued 6 years ago from animal shelter. She was 3 months old and was given as a gift to a young boy. His grandfather freaked out and drove her to a shelter on sunday and we picked her up on monday. She was a cute little puppy and I just couldn't resist her look. Being a Dalmatian I called her Pika (translated as Spots to english). I believe that she is not pure blooded as she looks too strong for a Dalmatian. She enjoys nature, swimming, sun bathing and chasing smaller animals (especially birds).
Anyway, this is the look I wake up to every morning, when I visit my parents:

I got a new puppy recently. She came from the local German Shepherd rescue and is really shy. She has come out of her shell around other dogs and people that she sees regularly.
Both dogs:
