Thanked: 4207Buddy got his first hair cut, and gabby had to pull the typical photo bomb!
He’s lost the cool feathers, but had some knots behind the ears and that second coat wasn’t summer friendly.
Losing his puppy cuteness, but a fine looking face."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Ok Mike, I went back through the posts to 12/19/2019 and looked at all of Buddy's pictures and I don't see Any Feathers, let alone any 'Cool Feathers'---
My cousin had a Husky/Malamute cross named Charger and they lived in the Central area of Washington which is a dessert and while he had a large kennel and lots of shade, my uncle bought a set of horse clippers and every year Charger got clipped real close.
The kennel had 6 foot chain link fencing but if another dog got in the yard, Charger would clear that fence in a single bound and once the dog was whipped and sent home he'd jump back in the kennel. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 4207Maybe tassels would be a better description Roy.
My wife called them tail feathers.
His hair was wild.
Think it is the cocker spaniel in him more than the sheltie."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I can go with those 'feathers'. Our Border Collie had similar if we didn't keep them trimmed.
