As a California Highway Patrol/Motorcycle Safety Foundatin certified motorcycle riding instrutor, I endorse this thread! Here is my Italian beast:
No stories yet as I'm still a young'un, but I can attest to the horrible California drivers. Although I don't like riding with people at all, anybody else like that? I enjoy the solitude of just me and my bike.

Thanked: 983Yes, I can relate to solitude when riding, but I can also relate to riding with a couple of good mates as well. I find both equally enjoyable. I don't like riding with large groups though. Too much variation on riding styles for my liking.

Love Motorcycles, first one when I was 15, last one when 45. I always seem to miss being on a bike. Please wear a brain cover or you will be riding a DONOR CYCLE.

Holy cow. After being married to Japanese street/touring bikes for way more than 20 years, i decided to try something different for a while. Had my last Bandit for almost eight years and few days ago i changed it into this.
With the wider saddle even wifey seems to be happy with this bike, although if there's still need for even wider saddle in the future, i rather change wife than bike
Guzzi California '02. Still need to undress it a little to make it look better.

I've been riding bikes since I'm 12. Started on dirt bikes, little Honda 50's, 70's etc...My first big bike was a Honda 750 w/quad carbs....and a few other's in between now and then.
Today I ride a Harley Davidson Fatboy 06 (1460cc) w/some custom work. I bought her brand new off the show room floor, my divorce present to myself. No helmet laws in Fla, and no ordinances about loud pipes. "Loud pipes save Lives"......
Harley has come a long way. I've had this Fatboy 6 years now, and no trouble at all. I replaced the battery 1 time, that's it. I love the look, feel, and nostalgia that goes along with a Harley, much like a Triumph. I like race bikes too, but I like my license more. If I were to buy a race bike, it'd be a Ducati.
I live about 70 miles from Daytona Beach, and numerous motorcycle hot spots. Florida has become a Mecca for Bike enthusiasts.
Enjoy, Now let's see some more bike porn....Last edited by zib; 08-26-2012 at 02:16 PM.

Thanked: 983Nice Cali Tomi, but I would dress it up more, rather than down. Saddle bags and a small fairing at the least...Well saddle bags at the least, I don't have a fairing on my own bike either, but it would be nice, in the cooler weather, to have one.
Zib nice Harley too, but I'm more a fan of the Trumpys and Guzzi's even though I own a Honda.
