It's great to see an SRP guy kicking over his old HD! I'd love to know more about your bike and any other flat, knuckle, pan, or shovel that you may have!!! Real Milwaukee iron!

I have loved motorcycles from literally the day I was borne. My parents didn`t have a car back then, and I sat between my mother and father on a Honda CB 500 when we travelled around. This was the very early 1970`s and today such a thing would have been insane! But for sure I got motorcycles into my blood early this way.
Today I take a ride on my Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade when I feel for that adrenaline kick on a twisty backroad. Here it is!

Har! You are the badass, Wullie! The wifey seems a bit sad in that first pic. Is it because you have spent so much dough on that rumbler? So in January, you gotta come down for a meet! I need the "Wullie Experience"!

Geez for a minute there Adam I thought you had taken this photo at the entrance to the Bat Cave! Then I realised it's a night time shot looking out towards the street.
As an aside to the bike stuff (and related to it) They've just passed new "Anti Bikie" laws here in the last few days. With the usual 'If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear' spiel to appease the non club riders that the laws aren't aimed at them. However, three bikes together is good enough for the police to pull you over for search of self and property etc. Out on the highway alone today on the return trip home from the farm, two riders pulled out from a servo (gas station) ahead of me and I ended up being a tail end Charlie to the other two. Well I just twisted the throttle and took off, because there was no way in hell I wanted to be pulled over without due cause! Guess the new laws are turning even honest blokes like me () into law breakers after all.

I don't know what happened in NYC, but the laws have come about because a couple of clubs have gone a little bit too feral in a main tourist area. So now all clubs have been deemed Criminal Organisations, and any 'colours' or 1%er patches etc. Club Tattoos e.g H.A.F.F.A.H (Hell's Angels Forever Forever Hell's Angels) can't be within coo-ee of a place serving alcohol. Tattoo parlours are being watched by the police, and people who run them (even all the honest ones) are losing business, affecting their incomes and family's. It's a sad state of affairs. They, the govt., have just gone out and said all you blokes are crims, when really there are just a few rogue clubs/club members out there that need to face justice.
I see it as a cop out to real policing of crime. Bikers are an easy target by dint of being different and standing out from the crowd. The whole 'Guilty until proven innocent' thing is what gets me riled up about it the most I think. And the fact that already so many innocent riders have been caught up in it because of the new 'information gathering' tactics the police have started using. Pull all bikers over and record all their details and ask questions related to anyone else they know who rides a bike of any sort.

You should go google the NYC motorcycle rally event. It was a mess. I explect Bloomberg will come up with something similar. Yeah, it ain't right. Some of the nicest guys I know ride big Harleys and have the chain wallets, tats, etc. The cops should know that very few are out for trouble and concentrate on them and their bunch instead of wholesale discrimination againt anyone on a MC. Pretty much shows their ignorance. The Gov should hire a bikey to run the show! the bad eggs would be found quick. Dangerous dudes, a few.
