I like and admire them but their families must go through the mill.
Bound to be torture on the family, Joey was married to my cousin and my parents ran with the Armoy armada during the sports hayday but they lost their appetite for it after most the armada died on the road.
I remember a few years ago when Michael and William Dunlop raced in the first race on the Saturday after their Da Robert was killed at the Thursday night practise. Michael rode like a madman and won the race but I can't imagine what his Ma went through.
    A hardy breed indeed

We attended a fund raiser for a friend of a friend who was returning for one last season before he got married (he had quit two years previously)
I remember thinking that he was setting himself up for a tragedy. I really regretted giving him any money after meeting his Fiancee. Fortunately he survived the season (possibly because he wasn't fast enough) but he gave me pause for thought. If you took away their toys they would find something equally as mental to do I'm sure. The friend of mine whom I attended the function with was a race medic who followed them around and scrapped them up when they came off, He quit aswell.

So, about 750 miles on the clock, and I've been taking advantage of some half-decent weather over Christmas to get out and have a bit of fun. Definitely the best thing I've chosen to do in the last few years—I don't know what I'd do without my bike now!

I want to put some rim tape on next, and I'm thinking of having it a light grey / silver to match the little XJ6 logo...does anyone have any thoughts or better ideas than that?

My only other idea was to get yellow rim tape and also have the spring on the rear shock powder coated to match but, as a purely cosmetic alteration, it's possibly a step too far and not worth the effort...?

On the motovlogging theme, I also like this video—I just think it's very well made and funny too:
