Thanked: 586I Made Something Unrelated to Shaving!
I'm having another surgery tomorrow morning. This time on my right shoulder (of course I'm right handed) so I'll be in a sling, unable to use my right flipper for six weeks. I went into the shop this afternoon and made this dish:
It's made from a chunk of black cherry burl that I saved from the stove last winter. I love wood with character. I think I may give it to the surgeon who did all my abdominal operations. He did after all save my life. That should be worth a bit of firewood. Seeing how now I'm a piece of his work, he should have a piece of mine.

Thanked: 586Thanks all. The surgery went well. The doc found my bicep tendon was ruptured, labrum torn from the humorous and three tears in the rotator cuff. I never do anything halfway. Now I do it all with only my left paw for six weeks.
