    Default Rollerball anyone?

I was going to get a fountain pen but have recently decided that a rollerbal may be more suited for my work needs. Only problem is I don't know a thing about them. I was wondering what people thought about certain brands and what they thought about rollerball technology all together.I am thinking of getting a retro 51 in lava. It just looks neat.

If you want a good, cheap intro to the world of rollerballs, you can't go wrong with a Pilot Precise or V-series pen. Rollerballs feel different than ballpoints when writing, you owe it to yourself to try one out before committing to a nice one.

The wife said I can spend 5 bucks. I guess that means I will have to get a cheap one.I still want a retro 51 though.I do have a tendency to go overboard. Good advice.

I use the V series pens exclusively, and I would certainly recommend them. I've only once had a problem with one leaking ink out of all the ones I've had, and I'm really not sure what caused it.

sometimes if you keep them in you back pocket and sit on them, the section will seperate just a tad from the feed, causing the roller to dispense more ink than it should, which makes your writing horrible and smudgy, but that's about the worst leakage I've seen from one.

I just picked up a pair of pilot v5's for 5 bucks. I will see how they work. Thanks everyone. It sure beats the $35 I was going to dish out for now.
