Don't forget the West bend "Poppery 2" popcorn popper, for at home roasting, just need to be able to find a used one. I've never done this but have been given some from a friend that has. Yum

I have rosted my own in a stovetop popcorn popper with great results. It can also be done with an iron skillit and a wooden spoon or a stanless bowl and a heat gun. I buy my greens from www.sweetmarias.com. They also have a lot of good info on green coffee.
For now I have been using 8 O'clock whole bean or a Sam's Club house bean. The starbucks I was buying just got too dern $$$ for not much more quality. When I get my house done I hope to go back to roasting my own as this makes the best quality.
As for brewing I use a drip to save time through the week, A perk or cowboy style at camp, and when the house is complete hopefully a new porsumer espresso machine will come on to the scene.

Nice! ...but you don't appear to have an Aeropress . According to their writeup you'd throw all those away. Their "indepth description" didn't sound real scientific to me and "Adler's best-known invention is the Aerobie flying ring which set the Guinness World record for the world's farthest throw (1,333 feet)."

I'd love to hear your opinion of the Aeropress.

Last month I picked up one of these

Wholelattelove.com: Gaggia: Gaggia Coffee de Luxe: Espresso Machines: Semi-Automatic Espresso Machines

My old cheapo-espresso machine finally decided to die and I felt as if I had to replace it with something with a bit more quality. It sure makes a nice extraction. It's worth the dough.

Nowadays when I drink regular drip brewed coffee, I realize that I love my Gaggia even more. Believe it or not, I find that I can usually taste the bleached paper filter.

I enjoy really strong, unfiltered coffee. It just sets my day right.I basically stopped drinking coffee outside the home because I find myself not feeling satisfied when finishing a cup.

I have yet to begin home roasting. One of my friends in Florida is into roasting alot, so I've been on his roasts now for a while. He's pretty good at it, so I don't pay much attention to commercially available blends and/or roasts. Plus, he does custom 'requests' that are right on the money. Honestly, home roasting scares me. I have a feeling I would totally dig it, so I think to myself " Great ... another hobby" lol.
