That reminds me of a game I used to play with some other makers. We'd see how to twist names of classical pieces into something else? I got:

Pictures of an exhibitionist
Prelude to an afternoon of fondling
Bald on Night mountain

I'm working through the chopin waltzes when I'm playing at the moment - something I have always found very difficult - I am cursed with small hands which makes octaves a pain. This one is my current love hate relationship, which avoids octaves mostly.

I've been a classic music fan since before I can remember or at least the 1960s. years ago I used to build stereo component kits and assemble loudspeakers. I've always especially liked Brahms, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven but really enjoy it all including the earlier stuff like Rococo.

I love most kinds of music But I do have a fondness for the boroque period being a flute player. playing Bach & Telleman has kept me entertained foryears , I recently got a violin & started to have lessons on it,But it was very demanding & I didnt have the available free time so its on the back burner for now until I retire or have enough time to devote to it .
Just recently got myself a new flute. Its a base model Altus which has an excellent sound & response .I am just learning to get out of the way of it & let the flute do all the work.Paul

(forgive spelling) I like romantic myself, can't stand baroque really. Tchaikovsky probably my favorite, possibly because of the ballets, and the sleeping beauty waltz is my favorite piece. I'm bad with names so can't remember all the other ones I've heard and liked.

I am a huge fan of Dmitri Shostakovich. He was a Russian composer who lived in the 20 century, for those who haven't heard of him.

I have never heard music as expressive as his. His life was fairly horrible, mainly at the hands of the Soviet government, and his music is an audible expression of highly distilled hatred and misery. His complexity rivals Mozart, and his expressiveness rivals Schubert and Brahms. Give him a listen if you haven't already, his fourth or sixth symphony is a good starting place.
