    Default Tiger balm

Over the years I've found that tiger balm is one of the best things to recover from muscle ache quickly and end the soreness.

Unfortunately, I cannot find decent stuff here anymore. Whenever I find a place that sells tiger balm, the stuff they sell as 'hot' is merely lukewarm. and not worth the money.
I'd like a natural muscle balm that is really hot.

Any suggestions for good (and available) alternatives to the local junk?

    Default Tiger Balm !!!!

Bruno for many years that stuff was the goto balm for us martial artists...
You might try a local Dojo and see if they don't have the full strength version and not the toned down stuff you find at the supermarkets...

Over here, most sporters and martial artists use reflex spray or flexium gel or something similar.
It works for pain relief (and reflex spray is fairly hot) but it is not as effective as full strength tiger balm.

I use and highly recommend thaiboxing liniment. It's in an oil and it's strong enough that I only apply it with nitrile gloves. IMHO it's a lot stronger than tiger balm.

Google "thai boxing liniment" to find it.

You wear nitrile gloves to slather something on your bare skin? Damn

Tiger balm also has a linament.... if you can find it. I have some of the red, and it simply doesn't do the job. I needed something and tried the new IcyHot Cream with lacking results. It used to be awesome stuff too.

in my health food store i have red tiger balm though i don't know if i can get it anymore. i have a friend who teaches Aikido who swears by it, but i don't know if the stuff is the same strength as others out there. i also have a product by Kalaya which i have had some requests for from good customers who have used everything (including tiger balm) and say this stuff is the best. again i haven't used it yet so...
its called Kalaya Ultimate Pain Rub. should be readily available at health food stores.

Don't know a thing about the product but I do know that Tiger Balm Gardens in Hong Kong was an incredible place to see. Glad I had the opportunity. Guess there isn't much left of it due to recent redevelopment. Too bad.

Have you tried absorbine veterinary liniment, not the watered down absorbine Jr junk, but the full strength horse linament... try an animal feed store, tack shop or a vet.
    Be just and fear not.
