POH, that company name brings back memories. My parents have purchased the POH floss by the case for the past 25 years or so. I've never used their toothbrushes.

I've made my own toothpaste and used it exclusively for over 7 years now, but if I didn't, I'd check out that Marvis!

I tried using electric brushes, but I didn't like it.

I also admit not brushing for 2 minutes. I doubt if I get to 30 seconds on average.
The Gods have blessed me by giving me very strong teeth. My yearly visit to the dentist is usually nothing more than removing a bit of plaque (manually of course) and occasionally I have a tiny cavity.

My wife otoh brushes with an electric, the full 2 minutes, 2 times per day. And her teeth are really battle worn. Several root canal treatments, multiple fillings in most teeth, the occasional broken tooth... She really does her best to care for her teeth, but to no avail.

So while I acknowledge the benefit of brushing twice per day, you either have good teeth or you haven't and no amount of brushing is going to change that.

I did spend a lot of time finding the good toothpaste though.
I have very sensitive teeth, cold things like ice cream or even drawing freezing air deep in my mouth can hurt in the place where my molars touch the gums. In the end, I found that colgate time control was the only toothpaste that was good enough to get (mostly) rid of this problem for me. It is supposed to be very good for the gums (my teeth can take care of themselves).

At a certain moment I couldn't find it anymore, and I tried something else that didn't work quite as good, with subtle-but-always-there toothache as the result.

I thought they had discontinued it, and I found a store where they still had them...
I cleaned them out. Hilarity ensued...
Sometime later I discovered that after the inital marketing push of colgate, only a couple of stores carry it regularly, but colgate still makes it. Nevermind. Even if they stop now, I have about 10 years worth of toothpaste left. That reminds me... have to buy some more soon before I start hitting those reserves...
Funny how that works out. My teeth aren't beautiful (or ugly really) by any means, but they're generally tough. I brush once in the morning, use mouthwash occasionally, and that's it. I haven't had a cavity since my baby teeth...SWMBO brushes like crazy and flosses all the time, but she has problems with her teeth far more often than I do.

    Sorry to thread jack

Its like everything else either you have the genes or you don't and if you don't no amount of money spent on hair brained products will really help you.

Ha ha, get this. Apparently POH has a minimum order of $20. AND, they have 12 brushes for $6 deal. Lets just say, if we are forced to live underground due to some devistating event, the dental beauty of the survivors will rely on us.

rubber tips multiple blades can't agree more all seems like new fishing lures made to catch the buyer, far best thing I've found for teeth I've seen is a soft bristle old school style brush (monofilimant, not bore bristle) and for a finish a Microfiber polishing cloth with nothing more on the either of them than light tooth paste and lysteren

I just saw on my recent trip to London that Dr. Harris has oldskool toothbrushes. You might want to look into that if you're still looking for them.

Yeah, a little too old school. As I mentioned before, I gag when I put natural bristle toothbrushes in my mouth. lol
And at $20+ a pop, I'll stick with my .50c POH toothbrushes.

    Thanks anyhow
