Try Casual Male stores...I have seen the collar button extenders there.

I could have told you they were collar extenders! I have a massive neck. right now I'm 275lbs, my collar size is 18.5. when I weight 215lbs my collar is 18, go figure that.

don't get the plastic one, they are not for constant use. I have a metal one somewhere, has a coil spring type thing rather than just elastic or the plastic that just provides static space.

I seldom use it though, for one I don't button my top button, just go a bit more casual unless in a meeting or presenting etc. the greatest thing is shirts that have the extender built in. I highly recommend JCPenny's house brand Stafford. They make a shirt, I can't remember if it is the survival or ultimate, something appropo. they come in a longer than usual length (so they don't come untucked especially at the hip, when you actually move) are wrinkle free and stain resistant. they have the button extender. they are hands down the best shirt for the money.

of course if you can afford bespoke shirts you don't need extenders because they fit you like a glove. but some of us have the dress code and not the paycheck.

    Default Collar stays!

I love 'em! The plastic ones that come with most shirts are okay if you aren't wearing a tie IMO. For wearing a tie or a more formal looking collar point, I prefer these:

It just feels nice to put a set of these in too!

I only wear a tie bar when I am wearing a vintage dress shirt I have that has small holes in the collar for attaching the bar. The bar does "present" the tie knot, but it's main purpose is to keep the collar down. The type of bar that hangs onto the top button serves no purpose for me as I tie a full windsor or half windsor when I wear a tie and find that these knots need no help.
