Thread: Sambucca

I've seen a few alcohol fires in my lab over the years. They seemed to always be associated with morons. I guess these videos just reinforced that opinion.

That was probably Lupini Gold. I wish I could get Lupini sambucas here, but all that I can get is Romano white and black. Don't get me wrong, those are both very good, but I would very much like to try a blue or red sambuca.

It is said that burning it, can relieve the flavor. I guess it comes down to personal taste.
Here's a good link how to do it properly and in style. The fumes are inhaled through a straw.

It usually is the way I drink it, but I take the fumes between the 2 glasses, and cough almost every time.

Sounds gross, but I like my Sambuca with half and half/table cream. 2 parts to 1. if youre doing shots, chase with h&h. It's better than good.
