I'd stain that really dark.

That way it'd fit in nicely in the study of my English country home.

I don’t like staining wood as a general rule. If I wanted something dark, I would have used a dark wood like walnut or something a bit more exotic. I filled it up, quite literally. It is packed to the top but my other humi is empty now. Works like a dream, holds perfect humidity and smells wonderful. I have to smoke a couple of boxes before I get another.
